Happy International Women’s Day

We celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8. We have a history of many women from different backgrounds and cultures fighting for their rights and Gender Equality across the globe. 8th March is dedicated to honor Women and appreciate their achievement. The United Nations started celebrating International Women’s Day in the Year, 1975.

International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating achievements of women around the world in different fields like social, economic, cultural and political. The day also symbolizes an encouragement for accelerating gender equivalence. We celebrate to acknowledge those Female Personalities who struggle in the past and now stand out in their own fields. Certainly, women have contributed a lot to the society.

The objectives behind celebrating International Women’s day are:

  • To show the world what women have achieved besides the challenges they faced.
  • To celebrate the achievements of women in the economic, social, political, and cultural sphere.
  • To support women in their struggle for their own rights.
Use Purple to show Respect

How you can celebrate International Women’s day?

From organizing a trip or going out for a movie to simply telling your wife, mother, daughter that why they are totally amazing; here’s how you can celebrate. Add to that, for working women, there are apparently never-ending list of challenges still facing in the workplace. You spend good amount of time with your co-workers, to encourage them, go out for lunch, or go for a Movie. To make them feel special organize cake cutting and spend the day chit chatting and celebrating each other’s lives. You can click pictures; take selfie and post on social media, letting everyone know about your celebrations. Many Schools, colleges and offices too now celebrate women’s day. This will inculcate respect and care for women in the mind of the young generation.

Celebrating the spirit of Women

Our Society is growing. In the past, women were restricted at home. They were bound to perform household duties only and taken for granted. They were not allowed to step out of house for study or work. But with time and developing social norms, the world has seen many changes. Furthermore, Current generation cares and values women. Now the new age generation has become more responsible towards women upliftment. Moreover, society will become better when women are given equal respect. Women are given equal opportunities and are allowed to stand among men in many fields, and they are contributing to the success of their own and society. And you can see that women are achieving heights and even traveling to space. Women nowadays have become modern and independent, no longer dependent on men.

I’m so proud to see that nowadays everyone make efforts to celebrate this day. Make us feel special in their best possible way. The day starts with getting messages in bulk in my WhatsAPP, making it more special that being women is not a curse; it’s a blessing. One more contribution you can do on this day, look for Women Heroes (Female owned businesses locally). Try your best to only use female run/owned services or shops for that day. Furthermore, we accept that both women and men are the strong pillars and contribute equally to the growth of the home and society. Every woman is special or extraordinary, no matter where she works whether home or office. Thus, on this international women’s day, let’s praise the significance of women in our lives and inspire them for greater future. We all know that women have equal capabilities and they too can contribute equally to the home, society, and nation.   Happy International Women’s Day. . . . !!
