One night, a boy named Alex was sitting in his living room, watching T.V. He heard an unusual voice from his backyard, then he rushed to his father and told him about that voice.

His father went out and checked the backyard. He found a small puppy sitting in a corner, shivering from cold. His father brought the puppy in the house.

Alex jumped up with joy and asked his parents whether we could keep him as a pet. They said yes and gave a blanket to the puppy and made him sit in front of the bonfire.

Alex and his father decided a name for the puppy which was ‘Bruno’.

The next day, Alex took him to the park and played with him all day. Alex gave him clothes to wear. They watched T.V together, they played and slept together. They both loved each other a lot.

It was the night of New Year Eve. Alex had a party with his friends at his home. He took out his favorite shirt to wear. He went then to bath. Unfortunately, Bruno spilled water on the shirt that Alex took out to wear by mistake.

Bruno took the shirt near the bonfire, he thought that until Alex is bathing, he would dry up the shirt and he would not know about his mistake. While drying up the shirt, the shirt fell into the fire and the shirt slowly started to turn into ashes.

When Alex came to wear the shirt in his bedroom, he didn’t find the shirt there. He started finding the shirt everywhere in the house and then he saw his shirt into bonfire and found Bruno standing there, looking at the shirt and Alex in guilt.

Alex was shocked by seeing the condition of his favorite shirt. He got very furious over Bruno as he was so excited to wear the shirt in the party but he destroyed it. He took Bruno to the backyard and told him to stay there until the party gets over.

Then his friends came over and he got busy with them. By the time, when the party got over, Alex looked for Bruno in the backyard, but he was not there. He thought that he doesn’t need Bruno anymore and went inside his house to sleep.

The next morning, Alex found a picture of him and Bruno on the couch and all of his memories with Bruno refreshed. He started to miss him and realized his importance. Alex realized that he had done wrong with Bruno. He rushed out of the house and started finding Bruno, but he was not there in the backyard.

Alex then rushed to Bruno’s favorite spot, the park. He thought that he might have gone there. When Alex reached the park, he shouted his name but there was no response. He again shouted his name and heard a bark from behind. It was Bruno. He was running towards him with a ball. Alex bent down on his knees and the moment Bruno came to him, he hugged him tightly.

He got so happy to see him. He realized that dogs have feelings too and what he did to Bruno was completely wrong, he must have given time to Bruno by playing with him and by taking care of him. Alex then took him to his house and then they lived together, played together and spent time together the way they did before.

Happy Beginning for them & Happy Ending for us. . . . !
